in a tiny flat, in the heart of paris – part 2

without comments

An absolutely delightful day/evening.  Lots of hard work partnered with some of the best food I’ve had and the sound of laughter all around.

I can’t wait until the next time already (in a few weeks!)…x

in a tiny flat, in the heart of paris – part 1

without comments

After visiting the market and selecting all the ingredients Brian needed for this dinner, we hopped into his car and drove through the narrow streets and alleyways that Paris has to offer, to this lovely, tiny flat.  The magic of this place is that it’s on a street that is wide enough to squeeze one car through at at time and it overlooks all sorts of shops and cafes that seem to come to life as the evening goes on.  With a stairwell that allowed for one of us to haul up the food at a time (many, many flights), it fit all the stereotypes I had conjured up about  typical Parisian flats.

It was perfect.

And so was the food (thanks to Brian) as well as the company who came to share it with us.

(Don’t forget to look for Part 2 tomorrow..)

a home cooked meal before the work begins

without comments

The perfect way to start our 5 days of work in Paris…with a very full belly.

(Chef’s disclaimer: meal was hastily pulled together last minute with whatever was available in an otherwise empty fridge)
(My note: food was unbelievable, mind-blowing even)

cheesology

Next time I work with this lovely little shop, nestled along the south coastline in Brighton, we will be photographing the farmers where all this cheese comes from.  I can not wait…
