He is one of the biggest photographers of his time.  There are over 40 books featuring his work, he has directed a number of French films, he was the art director for Paris Elle, has an exhibit currently in Paris and in Helsinki and has even published a book of short stories…and he chose to sit next to me here.

He drank Bourbon and I had coffee and we chatted for over an hour.  About photography, women, living in New York, how Paris is the center of the (his) world, being banned from Canada, living with Jack Nicholson, marrying a supermodel, his flat across the street from Cafe de Flore, beautiful woman and more beautiful women.

The highlight was not being asked to take his portrait, but rather of all the spots free to sit, he chose the spot beside me.
